DELIRIUM

The last summer I read a book called Delirium. It's a dystopian saga written by Lauren Oliver of three books. The story is set in Portland and is about a future society where love is considered a disease. The  scientists created a cure that is applied at 18 years and they're free to live their lives safely and without love.
After the bombings, the government built a electric fences to separate the city from the wilds. The wild land was a unregulated territory and was many people that live in it and  that weren't agree with the government. These people were called ''invalids'' or ''uncureds'' and they created the resistance to fight for love.
The first book is focused on a girl, Lena. She lives with her aunt and cousins because the government kills her parents because they were invalids. A few days for her cure she falling in love with a invalid boy, Alex. And they decide escape to the wild land together. In the finally moment, when they're jumping the electric fence, the government was advised of their elopement and kills Alex.

THE SCARIEST MOVIE FOR ME

JU-ON: THE CURSE
The film is told in anachronistic order through six segments and in each segment a person dies. Takeo Saeki murdered his wife, Kayako, after discovering from her journal that she had held a deep crush with her college friend. He also killed his son, Toshio Saeki, and the family cat, before deserting his house. At the crime's house was created a curse. Whoever enters the house or even those associating themselves with someone who has entered the house will be affected by the curse.
The best moment for me was when a girl called Tamura was in her school waiting her friend and suddenly a mobile rings. The call number was 4444444, Tamura answered the call and a meow of a cat rang. Then Toshio appears and kill the girl.

The horror elements that I see in this film are:

  • Fear and terror
  • Mystery
  • Haste
  • Anger
  • Cats
  • Supernatural events
